Precision in Agriculture provides education to producers on one of the newest evolution in the industry of Agriculture. Farmers are beginning to use the precision farming techniques by: using technology, GPS satellite systems, controllers, yield mapping, and much more. In order to keep up with the ever-changing technological advances; industry workers need resources to educate them about the advances taking place. The Agriculture Center of Excellence is now taking registration for Precision in Ag 2.0 on January 14-18 2013. This continuation of a program that saw success early 2012, will offer additional training and information on the latest guidance and record keeping equipment utilized in Agriculture. This year will also include equipment displays, training and testing for new commercial spray license, and renewal credit training for the same license.
Five-Days of events and Equipment Displays
Monday, January 14, 2013- This is the opportunity to get up to date information on equipment technology from the equipment providers. Find out what is offered today and what is on the horizon for tomorrow and get an opportunity to view products at vendor displays.
Tuesday, January 15, 2013 Thru Friday, January 18, 2013-This Four Day training is for anyone that desires to gain knowledge and commercial applicator licensure. This four day lesson will be held live at Walla Walla Community college and transmitted to all participating Community Colleges across the State of Washington.
Wednesday, January 16, 2013 and Thursday, January 17, 2013-This is the opportunity to gain knowledge that is both in the classroom and hands on with the latest equipment technology. Controller functions, record keeping, resistance management, and highway safety regulations are part of the material covered in this training. Participants can attend all or part of this training.
