Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintenance and operation of all equipment in the Boiler and Refrigeration system of the facility, including air compressors, HVAC equipment, ammonia compressors and auxiliary equipment. RETA CARO & CAIRO Certifications are required for this position.

Responsibilities

Ensures operation of the Boiler and Refrigeration systems is conducted efficiently and safely to achieve operational goals
Performs samples, readings and analysis to ensure Boiler and Refrigeration areas are maintained to achieve optimal efficiency
Performs advanced refrigeration and boiler duties
Ensures the capabilities of efficient operation of all equipment in the Boiler and Refrigeration system
Perform preventative maintenance in an acceptable manner as scheduled through JDE, work orders, logs, e-mails and reader boards
Ensures the accuracy of data reporting systems such as boiler logs, refrigeration logs, and cold storage warehouse recorders

Requirements

Must have high school diploma or GED Must have advanced knowledge of the refrigeration cycle; advanced understanding of the purposes and operations of overall Boiler and Refrigeration system
Must have RETA CARO and CAIRO Certifications and 2 years of documented industrial boiler/refrigeration operator experience
Must have Full Face Respirator (MSA) and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) certification.
Must have good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read and interpret written instructions, manufacturer’s manuals, material safety data sheets, and engineering drawings. Must be able to create advanced written instructions and detailed documents
Must be able to work in moderate to high level noise
Must meet the OSHA standard for Fall Restraint (a total combined weight of employee and tools of no more than 310 pounds)
Must be able to perform intermediate math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, average, fractions, decimal, square root, and percentages)

Job Summary

This Raw Product Planner Scheduler is responsible for managing over 600,000 tons of potatoes to support multiple plants. This position manages and compiles raw product data; coordinates acquisition of raw product; oversees storage and delivery plans for raw product and oversees raw product inspection to assure the business’s finished product objectives are met. This person oversees daily and long-term scheduling for raw type, quantity, quality, and blend requirements for all plants and product lines in coordination with plant production personnel to assure timely and cost effective delivery of raw to meet production needs. This position is responsible for regular reports for disbursement to plant, and Food Group offices for the purpose of reporting raw product status, and making recommendations for action. This position reports to the Regional Raw Procurement Manager.

Responsibilities

Directs and coordinates raw product usage and scheduling to meet quality, cost, regulatory guidelines, and production requirements.
Ensures a sound, professional relationship is maintained with growers, plant production personnel, and field reps.
Monitors raw inspection for accuracy in grower payment and improves knowledge of raw quality to ensure multi-plant production success.
Ensures records and raw product data are maintained accurately and reported in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensures Company policies, procedures, and Union contracts are administered in a fair and consistent manner.
Ensures the interface with other support groups is conducive with the operations goals.
Ensures additional accountabilities, as may be required by management, be handled in a manner necessary to meet operational and divisional standards.

Requirements

A Bachelor degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Business, Accounting, Food Processing, or related field is preferred, but related equal experience will be considered
State Department of Agriculture Agent’s license to purchase potatoes and a current State Pesticide license is preferred.
Three plus years related experience and/or training
Previous experience as Shift Manager, Field Representative, Plant Planner/Scheduler or other related position
Potato processing and/or purchasing experience
Must be proficient with Microsoft OS (Windows XP Professional) and Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and understand table and data manipulation between various computing environments

Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology or at least five years’ experience or combination of education and experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
An industrial background with experience in heavy industrial maintenance repairs and knowledge of industrial equipment needed.
A good understanding of personal computers, programs and work planning tools.
Ability to read and understand drawings and P&ID’s.
A highly motivated, self-directed individual with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
