Articulation Agreements

The Agriculture Center of Excellence has recently begun teaming up with multiple colleges in the hopes of creating, or finishing, multiple articulation agreements. We’ve had the opportunity to work with Walla Walla Community College on several new agreements, helping our team understand the ins and outs of this process.

Articulation agreements are a fantastic opportunity to do several things. Providing opportunities to students hoping to earn a bachelor’s degree or beyond is of course the most logical – but these agreements are also a fantastic marketing tool. A “2 + 2” program encourages a student that is wavering between attending a 2-year or a 4-year institution. We often speak with students who have heard that many of their credits will not transfer from their chosen community college to a university. An articulation agreement works with their chosen major and removes this concern. They now have a solid reason to choose the transfer route.

We understand that starting these agreements, knowing the process, and finding the correct contact (either at a CTC or a University) can be difficult, and there’s never enough hours in the day to add just one more thing to your list. Our team at the Ag Center is ready, and more than willing, to provide any assistance you might need. We’re working for you, and excited to provide the best educational opportunities for students.
